Following last weekend's postponed fixture, Sheffield Wednesday Ladies are finally back in action following a prolonged winter break against opponents Lower Hopton.
The Owlesses will aim to carry their impressive form into 2025, following consecutive league victories against York City Development. The Wednesday Ladies' attacking trio—Amy Broomhead, Harriet Lloyd, and Nicole Shaw—each found the back of the net in those matches.
Currently sitting in sixth, Wednesday currently finds themselves in the position to go as high as third if results elsewhere go in their favour.
However, aiming to stop this, league rivals Lower Hopton, who also sit on 16 points, are one place above the Owlesses in fifth.
Lower Hopton, who haven’t seen a win in four games now (3L 1D), will be looking to end that streak this weekend. They will likely turn to attacker Mia Moorhouse, who sits on a prolific record of 17 goals in 11 appearances, to do this.
Gary Wilson and Andy Gilligan's side will travel away from home this Sunday with the game set to be at 2 pm however this is awaiting confirmation.
