Sheffield Wednesday Ladies travel to Altofts for the first NERWFL game of 2025.
The hosts currently sit four points away from the Owlesses in the NERWFL table, with Altofts having three games in hand.
Ahead of the game, we caught up with Gary Wilson, who has looked towards the clash with plenty of optimism.
Wilson said: "We ended the year on such a fantastic high with back to back wins against a very strong York City Development side, and the girls are fully aware of the importance of hitting the ground running after the new year.
"The attitude of the team in training was great, and players returning from injury have managed to boost the squad. Many of the players have also hit the gym during the break and it shows that there’s a great professionalism within the camp.
"Every game is this league is important and it’s so close [in the table]. We are in great form and we will be going there with the three points in mind, and all we can do is keep winning games."
The away clash will kick-off at Lock Lane in Normanton, WF6 2QJ, we hope to see as many of you there as possible!
